Vaidas Gaurilcikas

Magento 2 Developer

Hi, my name is Vaidas, and I am Magento developer with 16 years of experience in the field. I do not use AI and never will. All of my past clients are welcome to contact me if they need help to fix the mess that the use of AI created for them. I am available for work to anyone I maintained a good contact with, and the work will be free of charge.

The rest of the story:

I began working with Magento in 2009, and the start of my developer career goes back all the way to 1998 with C and C++ development and standalone web servers before Cloud was a thing. :)

My portfolio and completed work

  • 2025 - UK Meds - Senior Magento Developer, worked on Next.js front-ends using React ant Typescript, utilising Vercel. Created custom Magento 2 API endpoints to deliver data into a Next.js based dashboard application hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Worked on a Medusa.js website and custom dasboard applications connected to PostgreSQL.
  • 2026 - working on a custom Docker build, no AI, observing best practices and patterns of vanilla Magento to make it as compact and performant as it can be. Specifically, using an underpowered desktop machine to make it as universal and lightweight as possible and provide a framework of microservices to run it on AWS.

I no longer publish my LinkedIn profile URL as my opinions on AI are too controversial for most. I am the world's first AI-ophobe, and if you see the hastag #AIOphobe anywehre, do consider the origins of it. Stay safe, and I'll see you when this ends.
